Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Strategic Prospecting: Identify, research, and qualify potential clients across diverse industries whose logistical needs align with Houger International’s core competencies and strategic goals.
  • Client Acquisition: Drive the full sales cycle from initial outreach and needs analysis to proposal, negotiation, and contract closure, consistently meeting and exceeding growth targets.
  • Solution Crafting: Collaborate closely with our operations and strategy teams to design flexible, highly customized logistics solutions that address the specific pain points and objectives of prospective clients.
  • Value Proposition Articulation: Masterfully communicate the unique value of Houger’s services, emphasizing our commitment to partnership, reliability, and delivering solutions “beyond expectation.”
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate a strong pipeline of opportunities and build lasting, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations.
  • Market Expansion: Contribute to our go-to-market strategy for the North American region, providing insights on market trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for service innovation.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a results-driven and charismatic professional with a deep understanding of the logistics landscape and a passion for building successful partnerships.

  • Required Qualifications & Skills:

    • A proven track record of success in B2B sales or business development, with at least 5 years of experience within the freight forwarding or international logistics industry.
    • Demonstrable experience in managing the entire sales process and a history of exceeding sales quotas.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • A strong ability to understand and align solutions with complex customer needs.
    • A self-motivated, proactive, and tenacious work ethic.
    • Willingness to travel to meet with prospective clients.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • An existing network of contacts in key industries (e.g., technology, healthcare, automotive, diplomatic sectors).
    • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
